Muhammad Shahzad Shaukat
Founding Partner

Enrolled in 1985, Mr. Shahzad Shaukat became an Advocate of the High Court in 1987 and of the Supreme Court in 1997. Over the past three decades, he has become one of Pakistan’s leading legal minds in constitutional, civil, and election law, with numerous landmark cases to his credit. His dedication to public service includes his previous roles as President of the Supreme Court Bar Association (2023–24) and prior appointment as Advocate General Punjab (2022). Known for his integrity, legal acumen, and courtroom command, Mr. Shaukat continues to lead major constitutional litigation across the country.

Tahir Munir Malik

Mr. Malik is a seasoned expert in constitutional and civil law. He served as Secretary, Lahore High Court Bar (1999–2000), Legal Advisor to Faisalabad Municipal Corporation (2000–2002), and Additional Advocate General, Punjab (2007–2009). He brings over 27 years of courtroom and advisory experience to the firm.

Barrister Taha Shaukat

Mr. Taha Shaukat completed his law degree in 2015 and was called to the bar in 2017. He worked as an associate at Lawyers and Lawyers International for a year and at Imtiaz Siddiqui and Associates for two years. At both these law firms, he gained valuable experience in a wide variety of banking, company, and taxation matters. He has now been in the law firm for over four and a half years and his main areas of interest are Constitutional Law, Election Laws, Telecommunication Laws, and Commercial/Corporate Laws. He is an avid legal researcher and a strong advocate for the promotion of Alternative Dispute Resolution.

Raza-Ur-Rehman Asad

Mr. Raza-Ur-Rehman Asad completed his law degree in the year 2013. He worked as an associate in the Advocate General Office, Punjab for a period of 2 years. At the Advocate General Office, Mr. Raza was entrusted with constitutional research work and appearing before the Honourable Lahore High Court. His main areas of interest are Constitutional Law, Legal Research, and Legal Drafting.

Barrister Maaz Abdur Rehman (MCIArb)

Barrister Maaz is a graduate of Queen Mary University of London, where he earned his LL.M. in Comparative and International Dispute Resolution, and a member of Lincoln’s Inn. He is also a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb). He previously worked at United Trademark and Patent Services, where he advised global clients such as Louis Vuitton, IBM, and Sephora on intellectual property and commercial disputes. At Shaukat & Shaukat, he is actively engaged in civil and commercial litigation, including proceedings before the Supreme Court of Pakistan. His primary areas of practice include international arbitration, corporate advisory, and IP law, with a growing portfolio in cross-border dispute resolution.

Muhammad Ahsan Nasrullah Dhillon

Muhammad Ahsan Nasrullah Dhillon is an accomplished advocate with a strong academic foundation and diverse litigation experience. A graduate of the University of the Punjab, Lahore (LL.B) and Forman Christian College University (B.A. Hons.), he has been practicing law since 2020 and is currently serving as an Associate at Shaukat & Shaukat Law Associates, under the mentorship of Mr. Shahzad Shaukat, Advocate Supreme Court and former President of the Supreme Court Bar Association of Pakistan. His professional expertise spans civil and commercial litigation, property and conveyancing, as well as advisory roles for prominent organizations, including JWS Pakistan and the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA). With reported judgments to his credit and memberships in both the Lahore High Court Bar Association and the District Bar Association Gujranwala, Ahsan brings dedication, precision, and a client-centered approach to his legal practice.

Barrister Sanwal

Before joining S&S, Sanwal was instructed by a London based firm to conduct advocacy independently on behalf of many clients including blue-chip financial institutions. In total he appeared in 510 hearings on behalf of litigants before District Judges in London and Southeastern Circuits. 

Principal type of work he undertook included trials involving commercial contractual disputes, consumer credit disputes, RTA claims, dispute resolution hearings, charging orders, applications to set-aside judgment in default, allocation and directions hearings, case management conferences, applications for summary judgments and to strike out statements of case, applications for relief from sanctions, infant settlement hearings, bankruptcy hearings and applications to set-aside statutory demands, consumer credit actions and applications for monetary judgments under it, defending applications for time orders and to suspend warrants of control, mortgage possession litigation on behalf of lenders, landlord and tenant hearings, and LPA Receivers possession claims. 

His educational background includes O Level from Lawrence College, Murree; A Level from Aitchison College, Lahore; bachelor's in economics and politics from LUMS; and LLB from the University of London. 

Sanwal completed his Bar Training Course from Cardiff University and was called to the Bar of England and Wales by the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn. At Cardiff, he was the finalist of Bar Course Trial Competition for his session.
